Outfest 2008!
Outfest 2008, the oldest continuously run film festival in Los Angeles, kicked off the 13-day event with the star-studded Opening Night Gala on Wednesday at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. Following red carpet arrivals, the Gala program included a screening of Laurie Lynd’s hilarious and heartwarming feature “BREAKFAST WITH SCOT” starring Tom Cavanagh, Ben Shenkman and Noah Bernett, plus the Outfest Achievement award presentation to “DESERT HEARTS” director-writer Donna Deitch and a special appearance by Margaret Cho. The infamous Outfest Opening Night after-party immediately followed the Gala reception, where the stars came out to play. Guest included T.R. Knight, Margaret Cho, Donna Deitch, Dana Delaney, Mary Louise Parker, Justin Kirk, David Duchovny, Lori Petty, Karina Smirnoff, John Amaechi, Jane Lynch, Michael Emerson, Carrie Preston, JP Calderon, Ben Shenkman, Perez Hilton, Rex Lee, Michelle Clunie, Thea Gill, Elizabeth Keener, Wilson Cruz, Jill Bennett, Sally Kirkland, Kim Coles, Kristen Renton, Carolyn Hennessy, Mikalah Gordon, Tracy Scoggins, David Moretti, Pamela Hasselhoff, Sno E Blac, Tanner Cohen, Zelda Williams, Sheetal Sceth, Richard Berkowitz, and many more.
